Summer travelling

Just a quick update, NYC conference was simply amazing, met so many cool people in and outside of the conference. After that I went to DC and after how cool NYC was, I wasn't so sure at first whether it would be worth the trip, but how wrong was I?? I did the usual; see the sights that DC has to offer which I admit, are very cool. However, being on your own and thus being forced to talk to people is something that I had started to get to grips with. So one night I went out on the town, well to Adam's Morgan with this guy Chris from the hotel and had an amazing night (thanks mate!). Met some lovely people over there too but before I knew it, it was time to return to the UK. I could quite easily live over to be honest. Anyway, when I got back, it was time for a 2 week course in Lake District, which was very helpful in all ways, again met some amazing people that now I will keep in touch with, so all in all, the last few months have been a blast, all because of the PhD programme, for which I am very grateful for. Personal wise, things have been a bit up & down, but that comes with the territory I guess but it's time to move on. Anyway now I have finish off writing a paper. Adios!
