I guess there is not a right way to use a blog, but here I am going to write random happenings and general rubbish about what goes on for my daily routine, but generally speaking, this I believe could be quite therapeutic in the sense that I should try recollect good times and such.

For anyone reading this, I am PhD student at Hull University, working within the whole grand scheme of theoretical physics, specifically formulations of interaction potentials between Colloids at interfaces...

Still here..?

That is essentially someone who is rather crap or unwilling at experiments and to solve this, you just give them a pencil and a computer and think about a particular research area. I am enjoying it very much now, I enjoy the problem solving (even though at the specific time it can feel like the end of the world) but I enjoy the atmosphere. The office I share has its fair share of banter, largely because of me and Dan generally arguing over something. However I enjoy it immensely, hopefully the committees I have submitted papers to will allow me to go to their cities and talk about what I do and hopefully not allow me to make a complete tool of myself.

I love to gig and generally rock too. It is one hell of a good release from sitting on your backside all day thinking with maths. Musically it looks like an old band is reforming but I will indulge into that at some other point.

Anyway, things are looking pretty good at the moment which is a nice change; I am a pessimist generally, which makes things that work a whole lot more fun and rewarding. I guess things can't be much crapper than the big massive crap stain that was some points of last year. I hope you'll enjoy reading this and future stuff, this was just a general introduction so I guess it'll get more random as I gradually loose my sanity from researching.
